Can anyone tell me what's the point of changing model ID in Necrobot?

I'm new to here, can some one tell me why and how? Do my phone's model ID should also match the model ID as the Necrobot on PC appears?
also I couldn't use 0.7.2 version, it keep popping bunch of red text while using, I'm currently using 0.7.0 without device ID.

I think yet nobody knows it if that's worth of changing device id. We will see in future. Personally I think Niantic doesn't give a shit about botters. So they won't bother banning botters. But that's just my speculation.

i think the idea is that if you are the only one using your device id you are less likely to get banned, but we have no way of knowing if it matters yet.

i'm not a programmer myself, so i can't say it's definite, but looking at Ingress (other game from Niantic, earlier than Pokemon Go), they already have massive permanent ban. I don't know for sure, but I think device ID is a good way from Niantic to anticipate bot.

NO, your Necrobot auth.json should match your phone's model ID, not the other way around. This is logic.

7.3 is out. It fixed the red text.
Dont use 7.0 without device info, it flags the account as not being on a phone.
