Pokemesh Tethered from Main phone

Is it possible to have an IP ban if I tether my main phone's internet to my other phone who I am using the pokemesh. I have read some speculations over the web that it can cause the said IP ban. But, how true is it?

I am planning to stay put on a certain spot where there are module lures but on the other hand, I am going to use the pokemesh to survey the near by lure module so that I can have a vision on that side. I am trying to play semi-fair without using and spoofer or bot.

Peers on reddit managed to get others banned by tethering(mobile hotspot w/o pass) while spoofing. Pretty funny if you want to trick friends, or maybe get your while city banned (if the main subnet gets IP banned)

I haven't seen people get banned if they used pokemesh with hotspot though
