It's a third party site and have no affiliation with Niantic or Nintendo. They probably detect it by experience rate deeming everything above x exp/hour too high and labels it as a cheater. With that said, rest assured Niantic has even better data at their disposal to see who has and hasn't been cheating. Don't bot on an account that means anything to you until we know what action they take.

I'm of the belief that we are definitely getting banned but what would you estimate the percentage would be? It's nice to say "they'll ban all the cheaters" and I'm sure they will try to the best of their ability but 100%? I think that at least 1-3% or more will be able to escape a ban, in no game have I seen a complete and total ban of all cheaters.

I like to think those who use bot or other assist-program to boost their way through the game (me included) is like Phoenix-cockroaches. No matter how many ban hammers they throw at us, we will survive and rise from the ashes. Sure they can scare people away... but there will always remain those who are persistant enough or just plain trolling Niantic for a second, or third, hammer.

Ya he has an insane amount of pokeballs tossed vs the level he is at.

I am sure some will escape a ban. But what I am mostly curious about is how long the bans will be for; either permanent or a set time. I am also curious if and how they will actually let you know that. Or if the account will just be locked one day without knowing if it is permanent or not.

I don't know how they did it on ingress but if they follow how they soft ban then you'll just be logged in one day and nothing works/ you just cannot log in and have no notification

My guess is they will do whatever is in the best interest of continued revenue, so while i'm botting i buy lucky egss now and then to pay tribute. Will it help avoid a permban? Don't know, but for me its worth the risk, i'm having fun.

Mine says caught 1000 and 3000+ pokeballs thrown, yet I have a 90% capture rate... isn't it more like 30%?

It obviously means that 10% flee, not that 10% of pokeballs fail. Far from the same thing...

Niantic doesnt need any 3rd party sites to know who is botting or not.
