If you are using rooted device with the new pokemon go patch (0.37) then u wont be able to play because Niantic is blocking every rooted device. So unless u wont unroot your device, u cant play the latest patch.

I rooted Nox and used Xposed to spoof the device settings so it will mock my Android. With PoGo .37 blocking rooted devices are there any ideas on hide the root?

I tried Root Cloaker but that didn't work.
Magisk looks like the only work around but that just looks like it temporarily disables the root which exposes Nox as an emulator and could ban the account.

I don't think the root is the issue with Nox. I think because it is an emulator it will fail that SafetyNet check. You can easily turn off root on Nox by unchecking an option in the settings, but it will still fail the SafetyNet check from Google Play. I think the OS itself is modified a lot and will auto fail regardless of root status. For Phones, in order to install Magisk, you have to install a Stock ROM and unroot. This means your phone is basically default.

I think the best thing you can do now is give PoGo a 1 star review because it's ridiculous to require a stock phone to play, especially since this is NOT apple. Android is a great OS because you can Root and customize your phone to your liking. I have an S3 for example running Marshmallow and it improved battery life and added so many features that I can never put the stock ROM on that phone! Seriously just getting rid of all the bloatware is reason enough to Root. The marshmallow ROM on my S3 is actually nicer than the stock ROM on my Note 4. If I would have rooted my Note, I would have quit this game. Honestly, the game is terrible because there is no point. It's just something to do while driving or walking.

This is dead now and some mod or the OP need to edit it to say so at the top. This guide no longer works.

Im having issues using the nox app player. i has this working the other day and then all of the sudden it stopped, now no matter what i get the famous "Unable to authenticate, please try again" error, ive tried the following: clearing app & data caches, force stopping pokemon go, uninstalling and reinstalling pokemon go, re doing this whole tutorial for nox ( uninstalling nox and starting from step 1 ) and ive even tried multiple accounts. I can also confirm my account was not banned because i can log in and play just fine on my LG Stylo 3. Any ideas at all?
