Did you use a middleman?: No.

Explain what happened: We decided via PM to give him a hearthstone beta key for 30 Euros with paypal, without a middleman. I sent him the beta key and my paypal address. Soon thereafter he responded telling me that my beta key "and one other guy's" (making it more believable...) weren't working for some reason. Link of the chat below. Then I sent him a couple of messages which he ignored.

I also want to know that "other guy" he bought the key from, because I believe it's made up.

It does indeed. The key you sent me didn't work, and neither did his.
I talked with other people in the chat (not sure what it requires to get in the chat), and they told me to make a scam report. But since the guy said he would be back later, I ignored that and wanted to wait for him to come back on.

Meanwhile I was at school taking notes, so I didn't have time for anything. I just saw you make this thread, and I had time to respond.

Well, I can confirm that Mortenmoulder said in chat that he had been scammed by someone before he bought the key from you (I don't have a screenshot to prove it, but it will be in the chatbox archives). I am impartial here and I don't take the side of anyone, also it's not my job to determine the guilt of any party involved here...

Ulquiorra4, is it possible that you may have received a faked E-Mail claiming to be a legitimate Beta invite? (I am not insinuating that this is the case, I just want to make sure, because this could help resolving the issue...)

I'm one hundred percent sure that the key was authentic, I just received it this morning from a reputable site (I can show the contest and my name in the winners to a moderator), and of course I didn't use it either (Why would I give it first without payment if I had used it? He PM'd me first so obviously I'm not trying to frame him).
Also what irked me is that Mortenmoulder instantly stopped responding to my messages. I obviously wasn't trying to scam the dude, so why suddenly quit messaging me? Furthermore, when people get scammed by having given money they usually don't wait for other people to come back online and discuss it some more. Plus, although obviously not solid evidence, Mortenmoulder was too quick to respond to this topic. Why would he be checking the scammers board?

It could be a fake key he received, or maybe it's Uquiorra4 who's the real scammer here? I don't know why it didn't work, but I am 100% sure that it hasn't been activated on my account.

When an user makes a post, it'll be written in the chat box. I was writing with other users about this issue, so it popped up between our lines.

This is a little far fetched and may invade your privacy, but do you maybe have a screenshot of the battle.net game selection screen? (When you have multiple WoW Accounts, + Starcraft + Diablo for example, all those games are shown in a screen, so it would make sense that Hearthstone would also be shown there). If it is with a current timestamp it may be helpful. (I wouldn't consider this a proof tho, as it is quite common that people have multiple b.net accounts)

I replied, didn't I? If I scammed you, I would ignore everything and go offline. Here I am responding to every post and every PM you have, yet you still assume I am the scammer?

You tried to sell a key which did not work, which makes you a scammer. What if someone sent you the money, and it didn't work? Would you refund him? Of course you wouldn't, because you don't have anything to loose on here. Not like the rest of us.
If I were to scam, I would do it for a larger amount than €30.

Riddle me this. Why on earth would I give you the beta key first if I was trying to scam you? Don't give me "what ifs". Obviously when you told me to go first I would've refused, if I was looking for someone to scam.

You WERE ignoring everything, until I made this topic. Suddenly you responded to the other topic where allegedly you've been scammed, when I mentioned it, and suddenly you respond to my PMs, when I bring up the topic of PMs! None of this would happen without this thread.

d3rrial, I don't see the point of this, considering that my battle.net account is completely empty (I wasn't really interested in the game, so I wanted to sell it). Still, if asked by a mod, I will of course provide a picture.

How was I able to see your PMs, when I never refreshed the page? I was typing in the chat, I was AFK because I am in class. How was I able to know you sent me PMs? I was checking if you got my PM, which it seems like you got.

I am not trying to say you used the key yourself. Maybe you did, or maybe the key was already used when you got it?

Besides, why would I risk my account here on OwnedCore? It's over 4 years old and has a good amount of reputation. I've done many many deals in the past, and I would loose that over stupid 30 euro? Hell no.

Oh, and for the record, you only stopped refreshing after I gave you the key. Were you not in class 2 minutes before that while we were chatting?

About the risking thing: You saw that I was easy to scam so you didn't think you actually risk anything. And it's the posts that count (don't get me wrong, they're still substantial), not the years.
