Looked fishy enough to me. Didn't click.
glad i never checks my emails...
lol why I did not receive this? but I received the second email.
IFDB Project Leader
Probably because we had banned the person responsible before they got a chance to send out too many emails.
I left the emailer running for a few hours just to make sure I got everyone I possibly could. (The attacker only had ~25 minutes of emails sent [500 emails every 40s]) So chances are, you're just out of range of the scam email, but in the range of the one I sent out.
O.K......Seriously??? How can they know it's unsolicited? Unsolicited means they didn't ask for the e-mail, Hence, unsolicited. But ignore all that because maybe everyone is crazy enough to have MMowned mail everything to them so let's move on to--> how can they verify it's legitimate? Log on to MMowned & ask/see if it was mailed intentionally. Very easy
Like I said, I asked this BECAUSE of all the repeated bombardments of adware/spyware/identity theft e-mails we all get all the time, why on earth would you trust anything e-mailed? with a link no less. I mean, I trust my mother but She got a virus, which got into her address book & mass mailed to everyone in there. Looked like a link my mom would send but it was a virus. This happens all the time! (not with my mom, but in general :lmao.
And one last point, I gotta quote the person below me Though I would have been more polite about it :lmao:
And again, this isn't meant to be rude or mean in any way, I am just baffled by it & had to ask.

it was a java based exploit that when ran uploaded an .exe to your PC. I'm sure there is a mac version.

I like to add onto this. With my complaint;
When an unidentified email and/or a trustworthy email just so happens to give me a link, i hover my mouse over it (im using firefox) and the true link is revealed in a toolbar just at the bottom left. If it matches the same as the link specified in the email than i shalt click otherwise i ignore and trash it.
But hey, whos smart enough to ever consider that.
