TLDR; everything else in our language reads top down, why is our chatbox bottom up.

I think its better as it is, since it would be really wierd to scroll down every time someone shouts lol

you don't do any scrolling now, why would you have to with it reversed? all it does it make it easier to read

its not always 1 person. Any conversation ends up reading the exact same way
kinda uncool to just dismiss with 0 explanation. Everything in our language reads top down, why does our chat read bottom up

Youd have to add like 2 lines of code for the functionality and add in about 2 hooks to allow user selection to sort that out.


Not that I disagree, newest messages should be at the top...

newest messages should be on top. that it sometimes makes it more difficult to read, is simply how it is.
Upwards down and the reverse both have benefits and negatives.
