AD's upon arriving to the site

I like to support this website and there are a lot of wonderful benefits to this position. - Ad-Free Site Browsing

However, there is one thing that has been bothering me lately. When i get on the internet i open a few tabs (xkcd, boingboing, mmochamp, mmowned, etc) and start doing my thing, but after a few seconds i start hearing an advertisement from the mmowned home page.

Which leads me to either a. close the tab and not return that day, or b. immediately click the forum button and miss out on all the information on the front page.

I leave my account logged in, so there is no reason why this ad should be showing up at all.

Please take a few minutes to address this problem as it is hopefully unintended.

How sure are you that it's MMowned? You might just have spyware triggering it, that can be quite random.
If it's MMowned, can you share a screenshot with us?

Naw i see the ad on the home page as well, i've always just gone to /forums so i rarely even see the ad >.>

i think mmowned has become a sell-out due ad's etc mmowned has donaters weekly.. sick these ad videos playing when i cant mute them at all... :/ or fact that almost every forums section has a [NO QUESTIONS/REQUESTS HERE] so if a total noob joins and searchs the threads or post gets deleted n he's bannd..
but now its getting to the point where [NO QUESTIONS/REQUESTS HERE], how are people gonna know anything.. if [NO QUESTIONS/REQUESTS HERE] is on almost all of the section know what i mean??

theres alot of them mainly because there are sections JUST for questions/requests as sub sections.

contribs and donators do not have ads or are able to remove them with a click of a button.
The NO QUESTIONS areas are there because retards kept posting questions in areas where we had exploits, working ME's etc. Therefore there are areas for questions and requests specificly.

For questions related to e.g. exploits, no - there's no specific section for these questions, but following these two steps should help you out:
1) If you cannot understand/perform an exploit ask about it in the thread where it was originally posted (if it's old and doesn't work it's probably just outdated)
2) If you need a specific exploit and wonder if such exists - use the search function. If you cannot find the thread with the content you searched for, then the exploit probably does not exist (if it did there would be a post about it, right?)

These two steps apply to not only exploits section but to the whole site (except for sections where asking via replies is not allowed, if you come up with these sections read their rules and you'll most definitely understand why it is so)
