    Websites -> Emu section

    In my opinion, websites related to emulators or private servers should be allowed in the emulation section, along with a sub-forum and maybe even a questions subforum so we may help other novices with their work.

    The programming section is hardly being looked at and people with questions on how to make their site work usually have to wait very long for an answer (wich is even then most likely someone with the same problem).

    Therefore more people tend to go to other forums for their websites.

    Allowing websites in the emu section would also make it easier for beginners to start their private server, as they will be able to download a working website pack or register page (BasicReg for example).

    We can even throw in some PHP tutorials so beginning programmers can learn the language, which is a must if you plan on starting a private server with a website and features such as a teleporter, an armory, etc.

    For now most just go to the arcEmu forums for those things. We need to provide the same things as they do so we don't drop on the rankings.

    Just my 2cents

    Website in emu section would be nice, just like the old times. But I doubt it will happen, we already have the HTML section even though it's not being looked at much, perhaps if we move it up in the forums page more people would look at it.

    Adding websites into the current emu releases section will flood it, and websites are not unique. It's not hard to take a template and change the images, or even create your own template and add some images. I can create a site if I want to just using Dreamweaver, and it looks pretty decent considering I don't know PHP. Hence, websites can currently stay in the html section instead of flooding the place. Only allowing new, original and professional sites is biased as it gives no room for improvement for the lower skilled people and I know for a fact, some good people will refuse to help the people who are not as good. Moving on, content that interacts with emulation such as account creators, donation panels and voting scripts are allowed as long as there original and different to all the others. As for a new section altogether for websites, that will be one of the things being discussed but it depends if it will be worth it..
