Your first post is complaining that you can't post links? It's too stop spammers or new people from just posting malicious sites. To get 3 rep you just need to post ONE thing that's not spam. People give you rep for almost anything to get you out of leecher status if your trying.

I believe he means rank 3, as in no longer a leecher, but an active member. this is to prevent leachers and spammers form spamming up forums with advertising and to keep arseholes from posting malicious links. its truly meant to keep whats left of a community here intact and help people who read threads.

This will probably not be changed back to the old way anytime soon after that chinese shoes in exploration section incident.
