    Restoring the 'Online' Timer

I saw in some old screenshots that we used to have a timer/counter in people's profiles that kept track of how long the user has spent time on the forums. Kind of like WoW's ingame /played command.

I really like that stat, whether it's pitiful how much time a person has spent on a forum, or how honorable it is. Seeing that someone has 34days, 8 hours, 43 minutes online the forums, and an average 6 hours, 32 minutes per day counter is pretty impressive.

I looked for the addon or code or w/e it is that's needed for this. And this is what I found: Time/Days spent on board - vBulletin.org Forum

Don't know if it will work with our version of VBulletin? Or if we already have the code, just that it hasn't been activated for a long time? Not too savvy with VBulletin.

Anyways, unless the code is already in there, it won't start recording the time until it's installed. But would still be awesome to see this done ^^ Kind of like the total posts / post per day counter. Neat stuff.

Yeah, I do not see the need for it, but it would be fun.

I'd love to see this, almost as much as I'd love bragging about having no life, but the one I spend on MMOwned. ><
FOR A MOMENT, NOTHING HAPPENED. THEN, AFTER A SECOND OR SO, NOTHING CONTINUED TO HAPPEN.

Just a heads up as a very respected PHP programmer.

This mod is kinda neat however if you know anything about PHP and MySQL you will know that this script will create a minicron that will run an update every so often to check activity. Not only will this either do one of the following, but its just another task of hell when a new revision comes out for VBulliten.

    A) Use more MySQL Memmory than needed
    B) Keep an active open session which increases SQL vuln
    C) Keeps a DOA script active, using more bandwidth
    Still working :-P
