Very old attachments not working?

I'm trying to download an attachment from a post I made back in 2009:

When I click the link it just opens up a blank page. Do attachments expire?

That is a good question as I am not sure why that is not working properly. I will check this today.

Yes, I researched this and found that in 2009 we had a server crashed where we lost our attachments back then...which I unfortunately remember. So it explains the issue with this. Very sorry about that.
