    So, Bulldozer or Ivy Bridge?

    So, we all know Bulldozer is coming out soon. The Business chip is already on the market and we're just waiting on the home PC now. I plan on upgrading my PC in the beginning of next year as my 2 yr upgrade cycle is about to hi.

    My question is this, Go with Bulldozer or go with Intel's Ivy Bridge. I am sure Bulldozer will be a few months earlier but Ivy bridge is coming out early next year too.

    Yes, I will probably wait to see benchmarks, but what do you guys think?

    So, Bulldozer or Ivy Bridge?

    I'm going with AMD bulldozer because it will be a lot cheaper and I have a x8 ready motherboard already.

    AMD = Budget.
    Intel = Max performance.

    AMD = Inexpensive.
    Intel = Expensive.

    AMD's news FX Bulldozer CPUs will lay in between the 2500k and 2600k on single threaded performance (At least from what I've seen).

    Saying that Intel has better performance than AMD is false, that's like saying Ferrari is better than Lamborghini, you can't just say that, every brand has it's different models.
    Bulldozer will most likely launch on the 12th or 13th this month.

    Also, to note, AMD Delivers more performance than Intel does on many of their CPUs, AMD is currently way in the lead in the lower budget market at the moment because of their x4 performance.

    If you can't wait, the 2500k is a good choice, but if you decide to wait, the Bulldozer will be out in a week or so and it will deliver more performance and you will double your core count. (From a 2500k, that is)
    In the end, it doesn't really matter much which CPU you go for, at least not for gaming, unless you play really CPU heavy games, but at max you will only see a few FPS difference.
