Diablo 4 Now Available On Steam

Community Manager Lyricana has clarified that your characters and progress carry over as long as you log in with the same Battle.net account. The same applies to the rewards from the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4, meaning you would only have to buy the Standard Edition if you prefer to play on Steam but want to keep your digital goodies.

When you buy the game [on Steam], and log into the game with the same BattleNet account, all of your progress and characters will be there. It's fully cross-platform.

my local people are bitching there isn't 'local pricing' for Diablo 4 as is for a lot of games on steam lol

I believe that is down to the fact that users from other countries were able to get local pricing for games from countries they're not in but I could be wrong
