Guitar Hero: How good is good?

Well its like me :P not pretty exceptional. If you played GH 2, GH 3 should be good for you

Well, I passed GH2 a while back, and now I had problems at the last 2 tiers on expert in GH3. I eventually managed to clear to the last tier.. but I can't seem to pass Raining Blood! I'm pissed, because I know the Lou fight is even harder.

But IMHO, GH3 is a fret-mashing fest (cough -- Cult of Personality solo or the "Aftermath" part in Raining Blood) but I seem to enjoy the hammer-ons alot more then in the 2.

Easy mode is like medium

Medium like hard

Hard like expert

I have guitar hero 3 and i've played guitar hero 2.
Either way being able to play on expert on either game is good lol
I can play on expert but only the first few songs and never get 5 stars....so ya your better than me

Well I was on the quality assurance team for Harmonix. I worked on the european release version. There was one tester named "mike sherman (he is in the credits for GH1 for the US). Now this kid was INSANE. He beat bark at the moon on insane... Now wait.... yes that's hard BUT! he played backwards looking into a mirror that one of the testers was holding. He only got 3 stars but most people only get 3 stars playing normally.

how the heck do you manage to get through the beginning?? thats what im stuck on, ive beaten the whole game on expert, and 5-stared half...

lol I also got guitar hero 3 for x-mas and I beat the game on easy in 1 day then beat the game on medium the next day then after that hard was a bit more of a challenge just need to practice each song on hard but its a pretty easy game can't wait till I get to ‘raining blood’ on expert, that’s when my guitar’s going to break lol….seriously………lol

how the heck do you manage to get through the beginning?? thats what im stuck on, ive beaten the whole game on expert, and 5-stared half...

Basically I went into practice and slowed it down as much as I could until I knew exactly what notes are there.

Then, when you need to play it on full speed I usually strum the first note (red) with my arm and tap the rest using both hands.

I didn't find it difficult, hence
