MW2 map pack release date confirmed!

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus package release date has been set!

The maps will be coming March 30th for Xbox Live, and Thirty Days Later for PSN. This information was released today by @fourzerotwo on twitter with the following post "http://www.mapathy.com - Feeling the effects of Mapathy? It's okay, the cure is hitting #Xboxlive in just 3 short weeks. #MW2". Despite this PS3 users are due a full months worth of waiting time extra!

The site, Mapathy was created for users who were suffering from "the same old maps" stating the cure is coming March 30th.



Unconfirmed Rumours suggest more then just maps in this DLC, which state:

Six Maps, three flash back, and three new ones.
20 New challenges with titles.
Three perks, two new, one flashback.
Three guns, two flashback, and an unconfirmed gun.
A new set of Spec Ops missions.

But we will know soon enough as more information is spewn about the map packs. I will see you on the new battlefield soon, soldier!

Sounds interesting, can't wait. Sucks that xbox gets it before the PS3 though.

Yup, but it is most definatly going to be worth the wait. There is only one probolem with this current release date. Many gamers believe due to the fallout between activision blizzard and infinity ward directors that this map pack is been pushed out before the official court case filed against activision blizzard for the right to the " Modern Warfare " franchise. This potentially means less time has been put into this map pack subsiquently meaning that it's content is not as good as it could have been.

ONT: I hope PC version comes out soon? O.0 Can't wait for new weapons. Although MW1 is a disaster.
