Searching for *very* old cartoon (at least name), cash reward!

hey folks

Basically one of my memories from childhood is me getting sick, and my parents renting me a VHS cartoon named "Brave Heart". Thing is, that is how it was named in Russian, so its probably named different in english.
its been a lot of time since then, and i have been searching for YEARS trying to find that cartoon, or at least its name, so i can watch it again.
Im afraid i exhausted most of my resources

So im asking you - if someone can correctly identify the cartoon (i.e. i look at it and say "yes thats the one") im offering a $40 reward.
The reward can be either direct paypal transfer, or me buying gold/gamecard for you from site like Offgamers etc.

The reward will be given ONLY upon me being sure that the name of the cartoon you gave me is the one im looking for. Im not asking you to provide me with a download link, although that will be great as well, but i at least need to know the title.



Anyways, now what i can remember (not much im afraid)

Setting: native americans (aka indians).
Main character: indian male
Main enemy: some kind of dark spirit ("Evil god" or "incarnation of evil" or just evil spirit, dont remember)
Other noteworthy things: the main character had ability to "transform" into animals - i remember eagle (or hawk, w/e), wolf and ... bear?. This was something to do with animal spirits (i.e. shamanism).

There are NO robots/aliens/lasers/guns/etc in that cartoon, as far as i can remember, its purely "indian" setting. American-indian, that is.


Anyways any ideas you get, please post here - maybe thats the one im looking for!

Ohhh, I know that. I think. I swear I've watched that.

I remember a dam with beavers, or something, and going across a lake in a canoe... I can barely remember anything from it.

Maybe I'm thinking of the same thing, maybe I'm not. It's defiantly similar to what your describing. The name alludes me though... 'Hi-a-rock-a' comes to mind (the phonology of it).

I used to have it on VHS as well. :/

It was about a drought wasn't it? And the main character had to try and bring the rain back by travelling a long way and fighting the bear spirit or something? I remember a bear fight. Ugh, this is really frustrating me. xD

I've done some googling, but since I don't know the cartoon itself I don't know if I got some hits. Ill just paste some names here and you'll have to judge if it's what you're searching for. These things are at least all cartoons based on american indian stories which involve spirits etc.

The only thing I have stuck in my head now is a film based around native americans/shamanistic stuff etc, and the guy and his friend leaves village for whatever reason (I think it was a draught). They go down a rough river onto a lake -> friend plays flutes and a big monster fish of some sort attacks. They escape into a giant dam thing with a... lobster inside? *shrug* Then I remember the main character battling a bear and taking it's pouch.

Oh childhood memories.
