[Storytime!] Blizz fail at banning me

To start at the beginning, i had been hosting a legit AH lottery friday cuz of boredom, with winners and stuff. Legit shit. Now over to todays events..

So i had been AFK botting BGs the entire day, and i logged on to make some adjustments to the script and macros, and decided to play this one BG for real. I ran out of silverwing hold and imidiately got DC'd. And it was a ban.

So i checked my email, found nothing there, and decided to fill in a form and play dumb. I said what i had been doing and what happened, and asked them to fix this "misunderstanding".

I decided to play some TF2 for an hour or so, and alt tabbed to check my email, where they had sent me a note about the suspension;

Type of violation: Item/Gold scamming
Details of incident: Running an in-game "Lottery"
Consequences for account: Warning placed on account and account suspended for three hours.

What does legit AH lottery mean? Lotteries are against the TOS.

actually they are not, i talked to a gm earlier when i did this and he said as long i didnt spam & scam it was fine

Depends if you're EU or US. In EU, it's illegal, in US, it's legal.
If you're EU, the GM you talked to must've been high.

lotteries are not against the TOS they are only in the questions thingy if you search lottery/casino. casinos are indeed allowed, except you cant publicly announce or ask for people on lets say trade chat. The reason why is because it "lowers the community". other than that its okay. believe me i used to do these all the times and made some decent gold
