Dramatic topic title ftw.
The following video will be immensely interesting for anyone even slightly interested in Physics, Philosophy, Technology or just his own species.
It is taken from an interview with Michio Kaku, one of the grandfathers of string theory, who is now popularizing the breakthroughs and perspectives of physics in an entertaining way you can understand if you made it to 10th grade.
There are massive amounts of more of his stuff, just look for his name on YouTube.

For the ones of you with a bit of furthergoing knowledge on current events:
The reason I am posting this is because I had a talk with my former philosophy teacher on an article about certain features of federational systems like standardized currencies a la Euro collapsing in the near future.
With a glimpse on Greece and Ireland, strong signs of breaks are showing and it is speculated that Germany could dismiss the Euro soon. I'm not entirely sure about that, though - many factors are involved. Afterall globalization will take the upper hand though, because the development of technology is unstoppable. At least as long as Obama and Putin stay nice to each other.
What do you guys think will happen?
*(The article for those of you who understand German: Zur Zukunft Europas - Die Einheit wird furchtbar sein - Kultur - sueddeutsche.de . Great thing!)
