Phone + laptop = internet?

So yeah i have a Nokia X6 mobile phone with 3g internet which is free. Can I connect it to my laptop via the usb and go on the internet on the laptop using the phone?

I got absolutely no knowledge about Nokia phones, but with my android (which isn't even rooted), I can connect it to my phone with USB and use it as a 3g modem, so there might be a possibility that you can with a nokia too. Just watch out if you have a limited contract. (I have 100mb max )

If your phone supports tethering then it's certainly possible. To my knowledge all android and iphone models support it, I'd recommend having a quick search through either the manual or jump on google to see if your handset supports it.

I know that all android phones with froyo can work as a wireless router for internet connection.. Im guessing that your nokia can do some sort of USB tethering

You should be able to use it atleast if you get the Nokia Pc Suite program. Because with that i can use my old phone as a modem.
