anyone? First I got my thread soft deleted by a mod but then I asked him why because I didn't ask for rep and he decided it was wrong and re-posted it. Wtf why can't I get rep, I clearly stated that it would be appreciated and not required.

You should contact a moderator & ask them to delete that thread, and then you make a new thread (which can be +Rep'd).

Well, you shouldnt even say that because its still hinting to give yourself rep.. Mods coulda blocked rep giving to you from that thread, who knows.

Most people "Give away" things for free, without expecting some sort of return on it. You don't "give away" a comptuer game or an old CD to a friend expecting him to give you a $5 tip or something like that.

It is a similar concept.

Lol, no that's not the case. Someone PMed me and told me that I couldn't receive it. And I'm not asking for rep I'm just letting them know that I'm new and its okay to give me rep.

IIRC, you can't recieve rep in the Shared Lounge. And you can't call it a giveaway and ask for money. And saying that rep is appreciated might not be asking for rep, but still hinting.
