    Idea - Need opinions

Hello MMOWNED, i am thinking about a project and will need your opinions on it.

The project involves getting a team of web developers and creating the following wow related website.

THe website will have an approprate related name and domain.

Upon entering the website without login, you will see a homepage filled with information such as what world of raids would normally use with warnings of new threats that may put ur account at risk. You would have a tab that contained a search similar to wowhead, another used to search arena brackets/info, another used to obtain addons/ui, and a detailed armory checking that displayed a characters item level, and final page which featured a compli of tactics for every raid boss in game, aswell as other detailed guides.

If you were to create an account, you would need to select which wow version you play, server, and character. This would determine your sites signature+avatar. Once logged in you now have an additional tab for your realms forum. The homepage would now contain all community based information on your realm, and a seperate 1 would exist for each server. The realm news would be made up and managed by your realmss community. A site forum with all sort of wow catergories would also be available.
On your account management you have a tool used to search for recruiting guilds, a donate button that donates to the site via paypal and gives the user additional privilages+special sig/ava. There would also be a "report a bug" button that stores any reports (used to collect exploits xD). A leveling system imiliar to mmowneds would be used for the site, and donaters would gain a % boost to this.

The site will offer companies such as; gold sellers, game companies, gaming product companies etc and other companiesspace to advertise on their site for cash. They would pay per pixel

The site would be promoted via information spread ingame and on many game+wow related forums.

This was an idea i thought of while browsing sites recently, tell me what u think.

Sounds good, I like that part:
There would also be a "report a bug" button that stores any reports (used to collect exploits xD)
The website could also be used to promote guilds, providing them an area of advertisement(maybe this could be donor only option or something)

Ok a few things here, in the event that you ever do go make this site.

    1. Do not have advertisers pay per pixel.
This is a handicap to you actually. Instead have them pay per page views and have a standard advertisement size for your ads. Make your standards the same as Google's if your smart, that way if for some reason your short on advertisers one month, you can just use OpenX and Google's Software to load in their ads to make cash flow. The pay per pixel thing could also cause problems with your website design and layout if someone pays for too much space and it pushes everything out, or too little space and your add collapses your page. With that said, I would suggest designing the page with CSS templates to ensure that smaller pictures do not collapse the website framework. If your site gets really big one day, you could even set up so that the advertising space is set up as an auction system and interested companies can fight over your prime time space. (Be sure to set up Google Analytics on your page so that you can monitor traffic btw.)

    2. In-game advertising and forums may not be enough.
You could always utilize Google's Adsense and Adwords to help promote your site via advertisement. In addition to this, be sure to design a page that is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly to ensure a higher page ranking on search engines. In addition be sure to have links to your site all over the internet, you SEO better if you have more things directed your way.

    Oh also

    3. Make each page its own site.
What I mean by this, is don't allow your developers to design a SQL database that propagates pages on request. These do not always count as actual pages as the Google/Yahoo/Bing website crawlers will not see them and count them in your ranking. If you make it where each request loads an actual page (without the SQL making it for you) you have a tendency of ranking much higher because the crawlers can actually see those pages then.
