OK so we have all heard of Linux being a free OS, but it doesn't support windows games fully, wine is still bug filled for the majority of us.
Well today while looking for a copy of vista on pirate bay i found something called "vista eternity", which, while impressive, is not what I'm going to tell you about. about a year after the vista eternity hack was created came out Vista gamer edition.
Vista gamer edition is a modified version of Vista Ultimate that comes in two versions ATI and Nvidia, each customized for the video card manufacturer named.
Vista Gamer edition works amazing on my custom build PC, it boosted my fps to 70 from 50 in Crysis with all settings maxed. from what i can see the creators of this vista hack have removed many useless programs Microsoft filled into our pc's, then they added and enabled alot of useful features that vista had disabled by default.
Just thought some of you who are as sick of BSOD's, frame rate cuts, ram used for games being stolen by vista, and massive bugs that fail to be fixed for years after release as i am would like to get a look at this =P http://rtwincustomize.net/web/viewforum.php?f=12
It will require you to own your own vista ultimate key of course... but there are other ways *cough* google it *cough*
