    Clean CD's with toothpaste.

This may or may not be common knowledge, but you can pretty easilly clean and possibly fix CDs with just some toothpaste, running water, and a rag to clean it off with.

    Re: Clean CD's with toothpaste.

I've never done it, but i know i've seen it on ALOT of sites on how to help fix a CD. It's just i had no idea what they were talking about, and wasn't about to smear toothpaste all over my CD and hope it did something. The vid shows how to do it though, and from the sites, it evidently works very good.

    Re: Clean CD's with toothpaste.

I've tried this in the past and it doesn't work for me.

I also have one of those powered disc re-surfacing things, they work well except for data on the very edge of the disc (which is lost). Any disc 650 or under or DVD that's not packed to the max can be recovered with the resurfacer.
