    [Help] Building a PC

    Hey!

    I am planning on building a gaming PC for about $1000

    I would like all the parts to come from newegg.com

    So far I have

    This is what I have and I think all of the parts are compatible....
    Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q SE/R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
    *no on board video (not completely sure what that means)

    Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

    Newegg.com - Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory + 2GB Xporter Razzo USB w/Futuremark 3DMark Vantage Bundle - Desktop Memory

    Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

    Newegg.com - HP Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - CD / DVD Burners

    Newegg.com - RAIDMAX SAGITTA 2 ATX-928WO Black/ Orange 0.7mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Removable MB Computer Case - Computer Cases
    *no power source that it comes with

    Newegg.com - OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

    Newegg.com - Dynatron P985 92mm Ball CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
    *buying heatsink (I heard stock intel ones are crap)

    Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
    *I think this is the fix for the "no on board video" on my mobo?

    Newegg.com - Logitech 967973-0403 Black 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Standard Deluxe 250 Desktop - Keyboards

    I was wondering a few things...
    If all the items I have are compatible?
    If I am missing anything?
    Is this a good gaming computer (could it play new games like Oblivion or maybe Crysis even?)

    I am also getting Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
    And a 19in. Monitor....

    I would love all the help I can get and I am new to this stuff and if you would like the cart link of the items I have then PM your email or post your email here.

    You don't need another heatsink, and the motherboard kinda sucks... and for about 20$ more you can get a quad core, or just go AMD instead of intel, they're cheaper and they do about the same thing

    @collincancer:
    400W PSU must be enogh for this.
    I wouldn't buy E8400. Q6600 is about the same price. 8MB cache 2.4GHz. If you buy a CPU cooler you can OC it to 3+ GHz
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835114073
    and this.. this is worse than the stock cooler :S
    and with this rig you can play Crysis on high...maybe

    @polarmike76:
    I prefer Intel instead AMD. Yes AMD has better clocks for cheaper prices but AMD dont has too much of cache. Intel is better at the same clock
    Asus P5Q motherboard does not suck. That's a very cool motherboard. I have a P5QC because in the shop there wasnt any P5Q
