    External Video Cards?

Ok so I bought a VAIO and I want to play Fallout 3, GTA IV, etc, etc...
And my Video Card was integrated and I have a
"Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family"
It apparently fails at most games. but the rest of my stats kick the games ass.
So a guy that works for sony referred me to an External Video Card.
Now I come to you guys looking for help and advice on this.
I really want to play these games and the only way I see is to buy one of these.
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks in advance

Is this VAIO a laptop, if it is then i have no idea how you use a external card to that?
If it's a stationary, well then yes external ones are usually way better then internal ones, i would reccomend you buying an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT that's what im using and it kick's a**, it would without any doubts let you play those games, you would even be able to go max grapichs.

What about express video cards, my friend that works for sony recomended that, and he said it would fit in the "iLink" slot of the laptop.
I've seen them online for 80-260$

You're mixing up internal / external with integrated / addon (for lack of a better term).

An external card would be one within it's own housing (usually) that sits outside of the computer (be it a laptop or a desktop) and is connected via some cable (or maybe PCMCIA in a laptop). Think external hard drive compared to internal HD.
