    Which is better:linux or windows

i have changed to ubuntu, a linux operating system. so i want to see what people think. if you want to try it out go on google and download wubi. Now if you say windows or linux you must say a reason why you choose it. here is my reason(s).
    1. Faster
    2. No viruses
    3. Nicer gfx
    4. cool comiz effects
    5. can do everything that windows can.
    6. can bypass genuine test(search:ubuntu pass windows genuine test)
    7. has a freaken penguin as an icon
    8. has some cool games
    9. Could get programs from add/remove unlike windows
    10. already comes with office(ubuntu version, open office) and firefox 3.5
    11. Its ****ing free! no paying 100-300 for windows products.

tell your reasons.(if someone can tell me where is the dam poll button...)
    EDIT: forgot 3 more reasons.

Personally I dislike Ubuntu and anything GNOME based generally. :P
Currently I'm running Slackware, BackTrack 3 LiveCD, but I have it installed on my HD, planning to fix the bootloader when I'm not lazy.
I'm too biased for this thread, I love anything KDE based (yeah KDE fanatic).
    As for my reasons:
While I'm typing this post I'm on Windows XP. I don't mind it, but I don't like it either.
I'm just too lazy to fix my stuff and boot into Linux etc.
I am not a gamer by nature and all I do all day is reading, chatting, music, programming (sometimes, still gotta advance, as soon as school ends) etc. Nothing which can't be done under Linux.
As user-unfriendly as it may be, I like the challenge and command lines, even though Slackware is more of an advanced distribution and I'm not THAT good.
    But...I'm not complaining.

Interesting, I thought that pretty much everything windows based was incompatible with Linux. Yes WoW, CS = everything, lol and a few other things. Unless it's been recently updated or something. Good for WEP cracking though

Also another question when I first got wubi I thought that it made it so you didn't need the Live CD in your cd drive, and you'd still be able to use your cd drive for other things. But when I tried I always had to have the CD.

umm you can play wow and you dont need a guide. just install wine. once thats done install world fo warcraft or just copy the files from windows and play. but if you want a guide here is one.
    help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft

if you guys want i could make a video showing the features and upload it on youtube?

Oh ye another thing, sorry to spam this thread, but any idea how to install Linux on an external hard drive I've googled to no avail, and I really don't want to use my internal hard drive as there's so little space on it and i don't really have permission to get rid of the majority of the stuff.

Using Windows XP mainly because of the compatibility with almost all applications.. Messing around now and then with Linux (Ubuntu) on a Virtual Machine though , and it seems interesting to say the least (not to mention the extra security and the fact that it is free )
