Getting "free" stuff at do it yourself checkouts.

I searched around and didn't see anything like this, but I apologize if this is a repost.

Anyway, I have a friend who worked at Meijer and let me in on a little trick that's quite handy if you can do it correctly.

I know for a fact this works at Meijer since I've seen him do it while I was there with him, but I would assume it will work at any place with a self checkout and in store coupons. (walmart, kroger, etc)

What you need is to find a coupon for like 10 dollars off your next purchase or anything like that. It'll be an in store coupon more than likely that they just have in the little pamphlets as you walk in or w/e, but knowing an employee makes it a lot easier to find them because they have access to a lot of them.

It's a rather easy thing to pull as long as the place is decently busy, or the person who's supposed to be at the monitoring counter is distracted.

Once you have one of the coupons, get a piece of printer paper or whatever kind of paper you want, and make a bunch of same sized duplicates of the coupon.

At this point you have a 10 dollar off coupon, and lots of pieces of paper that are the same size.

Ring up all your items (It's best not to be buying 100s of dollars of stuff at once as it would take a while to scan all the coupons, thus increasing your chance of getting caught. So start at like 10-20 bucks at a time.)

When it asks do you have any coupons press the yes button (or press "I have a coupon" or however it says it). It then asks you to scan the coupon, do it. Then it will ask you to insert it into the machine. Take your blank piece of paper and insert it!

You just saved 10 bucks. Repeat as much as you'd like, but again the more you do it the better chance someone will see you doing it.

The reason this works is because the in store coupons like this do NOT require the person at the counter to check them for validity.

    Quick Recap
    1. Obtain a 10 dollars off In store coupon from an employee or the coupon books in the store itself.

    2. Make same sized replicas of the coupon using blank printer paper.

    3. Scan in all your items then push the coupon button.

    4. Scan the coupon, and insert the blank piece of paper when asked to insert coupon.

    5. Repeat (you can just scan the same coupon any number of times so you just need one in store coupon for life )

I don't bot, haven't really started scamming yet, and I'm still learning how to work emus lol, but I figure it doesn't have to be WoW related to contribute.
    Happy savings!

You can play retarded. They'd have to catch you in the act to be able to really prove anything as far as anything dealing with police. It's a flaw in their system, so **** them imo. If you're halfway careful though they won't catch you really, but like I said it's up to you how much you try it or whatnot. If you're doing it every day at the same place they might obviously think something's off, but a lot of people already do this all over the place, so they won't be able to say "oh well there was one piece of blank paper inserted at whatever time and it was you". There's usually like 20-30 in there every night lol, and they really can't do anything to stop it short of changing how they handle in store coupons.
Until they catch up their technology people all over will take advantage of it lol.

Whenever I buy things like fruits and vegetables, where you have to weigh them yourself, this is what I do. Say I have a bag of pears. I will ring them up (self service) as the cheapest item on the list; usually a little pepper or something. Then when it asks for the container size, put the biggest one there. I saved about $10 on peppers and potatoes doing that.
