The criticism of their finances is mostly exaggerated. They never claimed that they would use the money to support projects in uganda. Their goal is to raise awareness and they do that by making movies and funding "awareness programs." However it seems to me that their employees do get a lot of money (management and general: 1,4 million)
Also I've never seen any proof that they do give money to the ugandan government or any military organization

And I love the part in the tumblr where he says "Additionally, IC has a low two-star rating in accountability from Charity Navigator because they won’t let their financials be independently audited."
... 2 sentences later he links a pdf with an independent auditors report.

Narudan, an independent auditor FROM Charity navigator. Big difference, because frankly for 200k I can buy off my accountant to say I spent 4billion on food and supplies when in reality ive only spent 3 billion.


Personally don't care at all about their shite. Cool stop the warlord who isn't even in the country you're working in, grats you're building schools, neato that you somehow manage to spend 1million on production costs to... upload to youtube/vimeo. and somehow manage to spend 800k on rent for things or 1.6m over 2 years on rent for things. and manage to tell the future of 4 months for a fiscal year yet keeping balance with the previous year... and last i checked unless you're getting private airline seats- and or flying every.. single.. day. 1m$ in travel expenses is absurd.

Well the Charity Navigator doesn't seem to have any auditors. They just deduct points for

How is making videos on the internet and putting up posters about it in your city gonna help? People will just think about it for 5 minutes and this it's sad, but then they will move on with their lives. If you really want to make a difference, plan a big meeting with other supporters and go to that country and deal with it yourself. Once again, making polls and posts on facebook won't help a tiny bit!
