Football is something you would normally do on your spare time, so could learning an instrument be, but when you waste 3-4 years of education on it, then that's just a total waste.
That's because the chances you have at getting anywhere with, say a grade C in guitar on your statement, aren't going too get you any good jobs, infact you'll be the next washing lady at said school most likely. I wouldn't laugh at people trying to learn instruments/sports at their sparetime, because they do it just for fun, not for "serious", hell I train my ATV skills during most of my sparetime, but I wouldn't go too school only too learn about quads and quad history, and miss out on work related studies that can get me a 70 000$ years payment (Hypothetically), even though it's probably more fun than a serious job, actually it's so much more fun than a real job I wouldn't even think if anyone asked me if I wanted to go pro, actually I'd faint :yuck:
Though doing it on the spare time appart from a job that actually pays, would be awesome, which you won't get studying music history ect
I study selling and service, which can get me a job as an accountant, or my studies teaches me a lot about starting my own business,
This is just my twocents But many people could mean different. Either way me and my friends giggle everytime we walk past the music students playing guitars and reading music history as a serious subject
Edit: Yeah and this is going too end in a discussion about studies instead of what you probably intended the thread to be about![]()
