Idiots guide to... Posting Videos

Not sure if this is the correct section, but i assume it is as there is no 'general' guides section.

Okay, well im posting this cos the current guide is lame - Only 5 lines.

This is a step-by-step guide on how to post videos from You Tube.

Firstly, find a video you want to post

Next, you need to start a new topic. Everybody should know how to do this, so i wont tell you how. Once you have your new topic started, you can start your post.

To post a video from You Tube, all you need is the movie code. This is the one in Bold Red, in the box below.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_EeBBy8TZKk

Next, you need to 'wrap' it with the You Tube tags. You can do this two ways. The easiest way is to click the 'youtube' icon, which can be found on the menu bar, just above the posting text box.

Simply post the video code, highlight it, then click the youtube icon, and it should look like this, if you have done it correctly:

[YT]_EeBBy8TZKk[/YT]

If you did it all correctly, it should look like this:

[YT]_EeBBy8TZKk[/YT]
(You'll need to click I agree because of the board settings...)

Another way to post a video, is to use the Embed code from you tube.
This can be found under the movie discription, and looks like this:

To post a video using the embed code, you need to post the code from You Tube, and then wrap it with youtube tags again, which will look like this:

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_EeBBy8TZKk&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_EeBBy8TZKk&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

And if done correctly, you will see this:

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_EeBBy8TZKk&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_EeBBy8TZKk&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

Alternatively you can go to "Insert link" then put into the youtube URL, this is how it comes out, which is better IMO.
