Looks like you have taken an image and just put text on it. You might of inverted it. I dont rate with numbers but tbh its crap. (I don't care if its your first 'go')

Tips:

• Read tutorials and FOLLOW them! So many people read them then 'think' they know it all, there are many good tutorials on mmowned and so many on the net.
• Download brushes and learn to use them.
• And the most important one by a mile is practise. Posting an image after 1 go i think is pointless, really is. Dosent matter how many times you have used photoshop you need to practise with everything!

I have posted links to many tuts in the graphics sections, Just check those out or google them. Photoshop is complicated at first, learn the basics then try your own stuff out.

I didnt use an image I used brushes then blured it and I have a lot of brushes lots and lots of brushes

Well just to save Puff the time of saying, using brushes then bluring it doesn't make it any better then just taking a another picture and blurring it. Like Puff said:

• Go read some tutorials
• Learn how to use brushes better

your background would look sexy with the right render

but the text fails....and you do NEED a render in a sig to actually make it look good...

and Puff is sort of right but we all have different taste on what looks good and how we use the brushes beside that everything else he said is correct

you don't NEED to use a render to make something look good, i used to make my sigs without them (well i dunno if people thought they looked good...). I wouldn't recommend blurring the background, also maybe instead of having a black and white gradient in your text with massive stroke, make the stroke 1 pixel or something and with the gradient, change it to something that fits with the rest of the picture.

I think it would look better without the blur, a different text and a blended render. maybe a bit of flow, (shadow to light) but apart from that, good first try!
