Guide: This is a guide for rain.


Step 1

Start off with an image that you think would look good. We started with this picture of a forest from google.


Step 2

Create a new layer **- Layer > New > Layer -** and fill it black (Edit > Fill - or - ALT + Backspace) Now, click Filter > Noise > Add noise:

Amount: 400%
Distribution: Gaussian
Monochromatic? Yes!


Step 3

Click Filter > Blur > Motion blur - give angle about -50 and the size to about 20. Now, set this layers blending options to vivid light - put the opacity down to 75%
