Hey all, here's a quick tut to make a background for you to use in your images. Enjoy!
1. Open up a new document in Photshop, about 400px 400px will do.
2. Then grab a basic circular brush with 1 px diameter, colour AAAAA, and start randomly drawing on your canvas, to produce something similar to this.
3. Next, get the fill bucket and fill in some random bits and get something like this.
4. Now go to Filter - Blur - Radial Blur and select these settings;
Amount 60
Zoom
Best
5. Now inverse the colours (ctrl I or Command+I for a mac) to look like this.
6. Then go to Filter - Stylize - Find edges, and then inverse the colours again.
And here's the final result. keep playing around with the lines earlier on in the tutorial to get a more extreme effect.
Hopefully this is of help to anyone wanting to learn how to use PS, or to use in their graphics work.
