Photoshop n00b you gotta loook

I must be hated in this graphics part for my dumb questions but I is a n00b with photoshop. ( I'm more about movies). With Downloaded brushes, where and how do you get to them and use them in photoshop? sorry if this was a waste of your time but it would be great if you could help out a photoshop n00b LoL

You can download brushes from deviantART: where ART meets application!, and when I use brushes I normally click the smudge tool(Just press R) and then go to window-brushes and there u go, and to add new brushes just click on the drop down menu and click load brushes.
