Cutting out the person?

I dont know if im allowed to ask something here really, but I wonder how would I do if i would like to only copy out the person in a image? Not the background but only the person it self

You could use the magic wand tool but its kinda hard to get it just right and you have to feather it out a lot. Or you could use the marquee tool and cut it out.

yea what he said but then your gonna have to make a new file thats transparent and move the thing there

use a magnetic selection tool and feather it by 1-2 pixels, depending on the size of your picture.

later, use an outer glow/drop shadow effect or blur if needed to make it blend in better.
