Rate my Signature

I created my signature yesterday, my first one, so I want to know what I'm missing. I just started with photoshop, so I can't do many things, but I'll learn. I want you to be critic and find as many mistakes as possible, or give me good advice. Here's the signature:

I like it. I just don't like the shading on the back of that creature, light blue doesn't make it blend-in as well, if you know what I mean. Besides that, it's a pretty good siggy for a beginner.

Agreed, the lighting on it is a little confusing. The top left corner looks a little plain, as if it just cuts-off into a plain grey background. Overall, I give it a 6/10, pretty good for a beginner. Might also want to try a Gradient layer to blend it in more with the rest of the signature.
