More flame on the right eye, it looks as if its just been edited out.
And add horns, it will make it look good, i like the colors in this as well. Good job.

left eye is fine. He hasn't done many photomanips so hes only learning, hes allowed to make other peoples work for practice =).

Another thing that would really help this is the warp tool, not positive if you used it or not but i did a similar photo manipulation turning a horse into a dreadsteed and it helps a ton, lets you create flow for the fire. You might also wanna bring the opacity up about 10% more because it looks like there is no real fire there, or duplicate the layer, not sure what you want it to look like exactly

incase you wanted to see. Fire manips never really work too well because it is hard to blend the fire in and make it look realistic =/
