[Showoff] My First Real Attempt at PS

I'm just now getting interested in figuring out half the stuff in Photoshop, I mainly used it to just touch up some photographs so I'm pretty new at it, nonetheless I'm happy with my first results - although they're no where near as good as some of the people's I've seen.

Tell me what you think and go easy on me since I'm pretty bad at Photoshop

First try with some tut I found online

Second one I made after reading a few more tuts and playing more with blur / feather effects.

your lowering to much opacity on the renders, the best way to make it blend in, is smudge the outlines of the render, then add some effects, like luminosity, and then duplicate the layer wich the render is on. bang bang, lower opacity of the layer copy, an then turn the effect to normal.

Another thing you should pay attention to is color. In your first one the render doesn't really blend in with the background, and the background has completely different colors then the render.

An easy way to make a background is to duplicate your render, make the duplicates cover the whole thing, put them all on the same layer, then use motion blur to blur them all together.

Here's another one I just finished up using the advice from above w/ smudging and color contrast.

Text as my attention on the last on you just posted. Lower opacity, and maybe add a pink color to it.

Looks a bit better imo, as it fits better. Is that bevel and emboss? >.< Would consider removing that.

Haha yes it is, was playing with different effects so it kinda just stuck :P

How do I make it so the inside is completely opaque and all that shows is an outline of the lettering, in say white or something.
I tried playing with inner glow and outer glow, and it didn't give me what I was hoping for.

Set the fill opacity to 0% and add a stroke/outer glow/inner glow.

Oh yeah, that's a lot nicer now. Imo at least. Maybe take the text opacity down and I think it'd be perfect for me

Try playing around with the inner glow's opacity, also if you make the inner glow pink and set the outline to black I think it would make it look better since the pink outline it has right now really stands out.

Hmmm i like the background its quite unique.

The stroke on the text is way too thick. Try and lower it down.

Found it on Planetrenders.com, I just flipped the image 180degrees

Also, this is my final for this sig- I must say I'm quite happy with it, going to start on the next one

    That is quite nice.

The render is blurred too much, and has become distorted at the sides, not really blending, try and lower the hardness.

Add a tiny blur to the background, its way to shart and kinda confuses the sig.

    Text, is nice.
