Hello, all you gfx-designers. I have already read a thousands of times "I cant rep here" and "why cant I rep here" "Pls helpz us noobz".

So I finally decided to make this thread.

YOU CANT +REP IN THE GFX SECTION.

PS: To +Rep somebody finally you need to click on his ava and select "Find all post by this user" select one and then give him a +rep Cookie.

Asking for a sticky or not, it's called for. Either that or let us gief repz in the Graphics section here.

People do things to increase there actual reputation in here, why not give people the option to reward the effort they put into their contributions to the community?

Really, there's a lot of awesome stuff people do in here, but yet we have to go in the back door and find a random post to rep.

Look, what's the harm in allowing rep to be gained in here when it's clearly deserved?

Because this site is based around exploits, hacks, bots, stuff like that, NOT around graphics.

To put it in simple terms, you shouldn't get access to the US treasury just for drawing a few pictures.

Isn't the reputation to show how much you have contributed to the site? I mean, I'm pretty sure helping members it is a pretty good contribution and your "reputation" among the site should be able to be "increased".

Is art not part of a society?

Yeah, even though the purpose of this site is 'for' exploits, hacks, etc. Reputation, as far as I knew, was based on one's contributions. People are literally putting work into these 'pictures,' just the same as programmers are putting work into their hacks and bots.

I'm not trying to cause a firestorm here, I just want some clarification.
It literally doesn't make sense that Shmo over there can create a program with some buttons that brings up a copy pasta'd leveling guide and get rep, while we here in the graphics section, put the same amount of work, if not more into the illustrations, signatures, avatars, or graphic related items we give to others.

But you can't be recognized in here with rep, seeing as you have to go rep some miscellaneous post made in Shmo's thread.

If you think about it, we're throwing as much effort in as the rest of us in the community. While we have a different way of doing it, people should be able to be recognized for their works flat out, in their thread.

Look at all these shops, what makes them less of a contributor to the community?
Sure, they're not offering something essentially 'illegal' along the lines of Blizzard's ToU/EULA, whatever you'd like to call it. But credit should be given where credit is due, and that's here.

The Admins probably added this section because many people suggested it or people were requesting GFX in other forums. So they thought " Hey, why don't we make a section where its ONLY GFX making so we don't have anymore requests in these other forums!" They most likely didn't make it for an opportunity to gain reputation.

That's my guess.

Even though it wasn't originally considered an opportunity to gain reputation, what is stopping them from allowing reputation gains here?

While yes, this very well may have been made as an easier way to organize things on MMOwned, this section is full of people who are contributing.

Which means that reputation should be earned due to contributions to the forums and it's community.
