[Help] What is a C4d, just a render?

What the hell is a c4d I see people talking about using, is this just a render of a image used for backgrounds? What program uses these because I run PSCS2 and they wont open. Thanks in advance.

Well a c4d is a special render for effects, its called c4d by the program you use to make it, but if you are picky its a render, its a normal pic (png or jpg), look on planetrenders.net for some.

Well i been outta the graphic game for 7 years, I just now downloaded photoshop and started playing again. So I guess I have a lot to learn now.

They are called C4D's because there made by the program 'Cinema 4D'.
