Powerlevel gathering professions

Hey guys,

So I have discovered a method of leveling up your gathering professions extremely quick. Not sure if this has been posted before but I searched and couldn't find anything. It's rather simple really! REQUIRES A FRIEND WITH MAX GATHERING IN WHICH YOU ARE TRYING TO LEVEL. (Mining, etc)

1) Pick up a gathering profession that you would like to level
2) Group up with someone, or a friend that has level 5 (max) in said profession
3) Have friend gather or mine while next to you in the group.
4) ???
5) Profit!

You will gain full level 5 experience, for only being level 1. This is an extremely quick way to power level gathering. Given, it doesn't take too long either, but if you'd like to sit back and enjoy easy XP this is the way to do it!

Crimson Badlands is a really good spot for doing this.

Well, not common sense in most respects. Most games don't give you tradeskill experience if someone else is doing the tradeskills. This game is neat in that.

Yeah, this isn't common sense at all. No other game that I know of has a system where someone else working on a tradeskill will level a group member.

Does this only work with gathering tradeskills? sorry may be a stupid question

Yes, only gathering professions. If you're level 50 and do a pug veteran stormtalon lair run.. There's mining nodes in there and if someone mines it, you'll instantly be tier 4 off one node. Pretty neat.
