Yeah, there may have been a patch the same day I switched... Doesn't matter, it works swimmingly with the new version of your Wildstar Studio ^^

I extracted some of the models for a friend, who's found the extracted .objs to be quite low-res. Does that have to do with the models themselves, or the conversion to .obj?

    Also, area-viewing is cool. ;o

The game models have, surprisingly, very few polygons. They look good ingame because they have textures and normal maps.

Ill probably do, but its not one of the high priority items right now. First im gonna do the basics for all formats, then the details.

Do you have an example for such a file?

Whether it is possible in the tables (DB) find information about items (parameters, description)
There is information, but if its the information you need youll have to look for yourself.

Do you have a model your friend considered rather low-res? I can then verify file info and exported obj.

I am currently working on the area files and finishing texturing for the i3 files. In the mean time i have added some icons to the file list just for fun and i have implemented disassembling the shaders. Its not yet released because i need to make a change in the launcher first to download the d3dcompiler.dll so it can decompile the shaders. Some screenshots:

That not that easy. Im relying on various libraries in wildstar studio and id have to recompile them all for xp. Some of them barely even compiled for my purpose so this is gonna be tough. Especially since windows XP is such an outdated operating system.

Id need a recompile of all these libraries for win xp:

I don't think there will be any target-specific issues with those libraries (except maybe d3d one). Also I don't see how XP is outdated.

As a matter of fact, I've also tried to run it under Windows 8.1 VM. WildstarBrowser worked, although it had "up" button hidden and unusable. For Studio I had to manually unpack release_build.rar and awesomium_library.rar (as there was no Internet connection on VM), but it silently failed to start.

Oh, you're such a funny person! I'd be totally cool with linux-compatible binaries/source. Will you provide those, so that I can drop microsoft-carved stone axe and hop back onto my linux-driven hoverboard?

I will see if it directly works with the xp toolchain when i find the time. If it does ill just throw that out and hope it runs for you, if not... well, then it might take quite a while, as it has no priority at all. Im not coding to make it not work on XP but as Microsoft ended support for XP so do i, if it works ok, if not -> bad luck (see: Windows XP support has ended - Microsoft Windows). For the issue on the VM its hard to tell why you get it, the motor of the application is provided by chromium, so maybe it lacks something on the VM.

Fixed it by moving the launcher in another folder, took more time to update everything and it's worked. But few m3 doesnt seems right, the best exemple is Art\Prop\Constructed\Ship\ArkShip\ both Dominion and Exile ship have few things wrong but Exile one is worst.

Other than that it's a great tool, thx Cromon
