    [Question] Why Use these programs?

I usually browse the 'SWTOR: Hacks', and WoW: Hacks' threads out of curiosity but never to actually use the programs because of risk of getting banned.

So why? Why use these programs if you are running the risk of getting banned? Is there a small period of time were they haven't updated warden to detect these 3rd party programs? I know the GCD hack for WoW last Seasons 6-8 of arena so I guess some of these do slip under the radar.

Why going over the speed limit? Why do drugs? Why skip school? Why do stuff you are not supposed to?

To rebel against the "rules", play the game on our own terms, do things that you "aren't" supposed to do, see what we can do within the environment. Spend our time actually playing instead of grinding. Making money in game and in some cases real life. Also no company has the right to tell us what we can and can not run on our PCs.

just wait till palladium. DRM already had a sway in protected processes though they are hardly used and too easy to crack. Don't get me wrong, there will always be workarounds, but the very notion is sickening. After windows 8, palladium will show itself in full swing with the nexus security kernel aimed at protecting the computer from the user.

At which time i can only hope linux will takeover the world.

They DO have a right to tell you what you can do inside THEIR game, so if you want to cheat, be prepared to be banned. If you can't accept that, don't do it.

    Assumptions.

But I see in future either a new OS or Linux just taking over the shares, at least most gamers might switch over to Linux. I say maybe 10-20 years?
