These companions will be introduced to you early in the game. They play a very important role in your gameplay, decision making and overall journey you make in the game. As the game progresses, the companion will become stronger along with you. You both will greatly influence each other.

In SWTOR, each class can have upto 5 different companions. The companions also give different bonuses to crew skills.
