I don't think it's real. If they really have someone type "Thank you for your understanding" then they have TERRIBLE customer reps. IMHO it looks fake.

Someone posted it on my guild forum also... But I agree it might be fake, as it is completely ridiculous!

Why on earth would I lie? It's not fake. Believe me or don't believe me, but they aren't happy with people farming level 50 security chests at level 20

I dunno...i just looked through the ToS and didnt see anything saying this was not allowed. Also I would think that if BioWare or EA or whoever DIDNT want this to happen, then they would put actual level restrictions on the worlds when you tried to go to them such as something saying you are unauthorized to go to this planet at this time. (within a reasonable level distance from 'appropriate' level)

    Edit:
-Maybe not so much a lvl restriction on the world, but on the chest itself.-

It's absolutely rediculous.. its a sandbox game and they're fussing about you 'exploring'.

Fair enough, a level 20 has no reason to go to a level 50 planet other than to farm chests.. and that is the only obvious reason.. but its a sandbox game :/

I'm not the one who posted this in the box. I just commented on it, saying I think it sounds ridiculous when there have been no rules broken. I don't see how they can say in the mail that the person showed intent to exploit the game when you can travel there with your space ship without any problems whatsoever.

STAR WARS: The Old Republic - Players BANNED for going to Ilum? Suggestions to Customer Service - Page 90 Read what the moderator said on page 90. I think these pictures of account closure notice are fake or a big misunderstanding. Though that's just my opinion.
    Molested myself and got convicted.

STAR WARS: The Old Republic - Recent actions against some customer accounts - Official Response.

Anyway it's total BS how could anyone even fathom that it is an exploit. I have max level slicing, and I go to the pvp area to slice. There are no enemies due to server imbalanced and/or leveling speeds. It isn't my fault.

Thankfully I didn't get suspended. I would have went berserk on their support team if I did.

Here's the psot from the GM/mod whatever they are called in SWTOR:

Apologies for the delay in replying to this, but we needed to gather a few more details.

I just made a post which goes into a bit more detail, and I'd like to ask any future discussion goes there, rather than here. That said, I'd just like to refute the initial statement given here: players are not being banned for going to Ilum. If you wish to travel there, you can.

More details in my other post. We're closing this thread now to consolidate discussion there.

TBH, the e-mails are most likely fake if a MOD/GM says people aren't being banned. Besides, like I stated in my first post, anyone with a middle school education would be able to put "Thanks for understanding" instead of "Thank you for your understanding".
