Safety Precautions When Trading!

As a Buyer:

1. Check the Sellers Join Date/Post count. Is it there first post? Did they just join?

2. Pricing, Is the price realistic to current market? If the sale price sounds too good to be true, odds are it is.

3. Are you recording the transaction? Screenshots? Video?

4. Are they a normal seller? How does their feedback look?

5. Getting a gut feeling? Trust your first instinct, being patient about buying is a lot better than getting scammed.

6. One thing I like to do using google keywords is search "Username Scam" in google. (Example: Platz Scam). If you're find results be sure to research in, and also understand some people have very common usernames.

As a Seller:

1. Check the buyers Join Date/Post count. Is it there first post? Did they just join?

2. Is it a brand new member trying to buy $150+ worth of items?

3. Are they verified paypal?

4. Does their E-mail Match their paypal email? does their name match also?

5. Again, being patient about a sale is a lot better than being scammed.

6. Are you recording the transaction? Screenshots, video etc.

7. Did they send as gift? if not refund the money and request as gift, Some countries are not allowed to send as gift (Signapore, Mexico, Germany, etc) ask them to put "intangible goods" in the note.

8. MAKE THEM POST IN YOUR THREAD FIRST, COUNTLESS SCAMS HAPPEN DUE TO IMPERSONATIONS, A LINK TO A USER PROFILE IS NOWHERE NEAR CONFIRMATION, A PM OR POST ON SITE FROM THAT USER IS.

Overall it's just instinct and experience when it comes to selling/buying safe.
