I did it. Still the same screenshot from my post. I see poe being runned on my main account and my alt account "disconnected".
PS: While doing this method my game configs/sets and language was suddently set to default, what suggest something has changed. (?)
But, when I ctrl+alt+del it still shows poe being executed on my main account. Now I'm confused. I don't know if it is running on the limited user or not. =s

HUD it's like cocaine, once you used, you can't forget.
Step 1: Create a new windows user account.
Step 2: Click on PoeHud folder < properties < security < edit < add < "enter name of windows user account from step 1" < check name < ok < click on newly added user account and at the bottom click the DENY checkbox < apply and ok.
Step 3: Shift click Pathofexile64.exe and choose "run as different user" < put in username and password of windows account from step 1.
Hope this helps - that's all there is to it.
Yeah, I was looking in the wrong place. It's working now. Thanks!!![]()

How would this whole process work with PoE on the Steam client? I presume I have to also run Steam from the secondary user?
edit: the answer is yes

I have an issue with this method. It worked for some time, but once the game crashed and now i cannot launch it this way, it gives me error: "Unable to open Content.ggpk. You might have noather copy of the fame already running."
I tried to redownload ggpk and create new user but it doesn't work. Any ideas?
Tala!
this method doesn't work for me too (shortcut-edit based)
Win10 x64, standard user w/o admin rights
Content.ggpk error tho no POE_x64 process is presented in the task manager
the only option helped me out is shift+RMB click on the shortcut -> Run as different user
either way the solution is awesome, much appreciate your effort, TS!

Interesting cause it works for me as intended on win10, just checked.
What's the point of using runas.exe. If you can just shift+rclick and login with another user? Also, i still can't use runas.exe with all suggestions from this post. Getting contect.ggpk error.
