poe folder can go anywhere, but there are a few caveats, obviously the limited user still needs permissions to that location, and the shortcut gets a bit tricky if poe isn't on the main OS disk (but it's been explained how to get around that in both this and the limited user thread).
I tried with the shortcut, it opens up cmd window if im not mistaken, then key in password. After that when I try to run poe using the shortcut, there'll be a cmd window and the game load. Still getting the same error.
does windows version have anything to do with this error? im on 1803, havent update for a while.

Windows version shouldn't matter.

Did a fresh windows install, seems to fix it. Just to make sure I got it right. under details, poe.exe should be running under limited user, and poehud is under admin account?

That is correct. The point is for poe process to not be able to access hud files location.

Does anyone know a way how to display the radius of a skill effect?

I tried DrawAOE and this plugin has several flaws. The circle is slightly offset from the character. I would also like the radius to be calculated automatically for the chosen skill.

You could write your own plugin.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Getting this error??
The guys that usually fix the party loot allocation stuff (CanPickUp for example is checking if the item is assigned to you/free for all) said they'd fix it, but I don't think they have.
I have a workaround on my private fork, but I keep forgetting it's not fixed for everyone. It basically bypasses the pointer that can be null which then throws this error.
Also, for the record, the stack trace (the part of the error I left quoted) is really all we need for basically all errors. There's no need to show all the loaded module versions for a common error report. Ocassionally we might need that, but most often we don't.

Hello!
I'm late to the party but I'm having this error when trying to run PoEHUD:
-----------------------------------
Code:
System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.
at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentException(ExceptionResource resource)
at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKey key, TValue value, Boolean add)
at PoeHUD.Poe.RemoteMemoryObjects.GameStateController.ReadHashMap(Int64 pointer)
at PoeHUD.Poe.RemoteMemoryObjects.GameStateController..ctor(Memory m, TheGame game)
at PoeHUD.Controllers.GameController..ctor(Memory memory)
at PoeHUD.Program.Main(String[] args)
Searched forums for similar errors but couldn't find any answers.
Windows 10.
Edit:
If I change the line:
Code:
if (!node.IsNull)
result.Add(node.Key, node.Value1);
To
Code:
if (!node.IsNull && !result.ContainsKey(node.Key))
result.Add(node.Key, node.Value1);
In GameStateController.cs
And build the project, I can run PoEHUD without errors, I can see it in the process list in the task manager, but nothing happens when I press F12 or other keys.
It sometimes freezes the game until I click again after pressing F10, so.. It is kind of running..? But I see no other indication whatsoever.
Edit2:
I'm dumb. I ran the x64 version and it's working.

Does anyone know why I can't update from the HUD itself? I just get the command prompt and have to shut it down manually. And when I restart it hasn't updated. Thanks.
This program should be launched by PoeHUD_PluginsUpdater. Exiting...
at this point, I just have to manually shut it down and it isn't updated when I restart.

It happens to me too. I have tried to replace the exe from %PluginsUpdate% folder and it keeps showing me that it has a new update.
