Hey username1001011,

It is normal that the console window close itself once you launch the bot.
steps to do are log in game, launch the bot, press any key, once the console window disapeared move to a zone where you want to kill monsters, hit space bar 1 time (will enable the bot), move around, when monsters will come in range, the bot will shoot it and loot if needed.
If you need to pause the bot, hit space bar a 2nd time. Do not hit your clicks while the bot is shooting, it perturbates it ^_^

If this doesn't work, you prolly have to do as Porkie said, it worked for him...should work for you with some luck *crossing fingers*

I tried it now... but as soon as I entered an instance, it just crashed... well, took about 2 secs before game crash.

I tried to run poe in winxp sp3 comp. mode, I tried to run the bot in comp. mode, and I also tried to run the bot as admin..... with the current 0.4 version... well, the one linked in the first posting.

Running Windows 8 Pro x64, and the issue I have is that once I am in game, and press the space bar, the game client crashes. This happens regardless of Run As Admin, Win XP mode, etc...

I'm starting to definitively hate Windows 8..
Did anybody try the bot on the 32 bit version ? Any trouble ?
If that's a 64 bit version issue, I could try to compile a 64 bit only version and see if this solves the problem.

If I can find the time, I may install a dual boot of Window 8 x86 to check things out. I need to remove a corrupt installation of Fedora anyway, so while I am playing with OS', I just may pop a 32 bit on a see whats up.

EDIT : I am bored. Going to play with partitions and installs now. I'll reply back after I have a 32 bit install ready.

The bot is going to have a user interface soon guys... A lot of people struggle with a console application and editing .txt/.ini files, so I've came aboard and I'm going to help get this project a GUI. It's going to be extremely simple design here for a long time until many things are stable and working 100% with no major bugs. After the main framework of the bot is completed, the interface is going to get much more "complex" and by this I don't mean difficult to use, I just mean way more lets say in-depth, as far as options, different menu options/frames.... I think this project has major potential and I'm quite honored to be able to become apart of it!

Well, I tried t do a 32 bit dual boot with Windows 8 to check and see if the issues I and a couple others have would dissipate, however, my PC is hating my USB for some reason and I do not have an optical drive, so...

If you run windows 8 I guess your computer is quiet good and the advice i could give you is to install a Virtual machine with windows 7 64bits, put POE + the bot on it....good thing is you can use your computer meanwhile

I run Win 8 To Go so that I can run it from my external drive.... my actual install is *nix on a notebook.

It's Win 8 To Go, 64bit

Btw, I'm still a bit confused about all the configuration stuff and how they all work together.

this far I use:

Cleave + Life Gain on Hit for groups

and

Dual Strike + Item Quantity + Life Leech for single target

and

Leap Slam to get close

Then I have two enduring cries gems and 1 decoy totem

(new onslaught ladder char).

How would I skill that. Basically I do:

cast enduring cries
cast decoy
leap slam into the middle
cleave most of the group away
use dual for 1-2 remaining or bosses

Yeah..... one more suggestion - reached ledge in merciless in onslaught -:

- killing mobs and rare mobs is not a problem
- killing unique totem is not a problem
- killing unique totem while archers etc. are still pounding on me is a problem... is there a way to (a) first clear enemies around unique boss and (b) for unique boss make a weapon switch?

I just installed Windows 8 Pro x86 and it seems to be working fine.
Still nothing on Windows 8 Pro x64, however, so I would assume the issue is isolated to the 64 bit platform - As far as Windows 8 goes, anyway.
